Logicalis Expands Enterprise Cloud in Western U.S. with POWER7 Support

Logicalis has expanded its cloud footprint across the Western U.S., creating an extension of Logicalis’ current cloud data center infrastructure that includes support for POWER7 solutions.

Logicalis has invested heavily into its cloud offerings over the past year, including more than $3 million into the development of the company’s westward expansion of its public cloud capabilities, as well as its continued focus on both private cloud design and hybrid cloud solutions.

“Cloud is a strategic growth market for Logicalis,” said Mike Martin, vice president of Cloud Solutions for Logicalis, in a press release. “The expansion of our cloud footprint allows us to continue to build on the momentum we have experienced in providing managed cloud solutions. We view this investment as a critical component to providing hosted/cloud solutions for enterprise clients."

Martin said the expanded cloud presence will enable Logicalis to increase its cloud services focused on Windows and Linux solutions as well as support IBM POWER7 solutions supporting AIX and the IBM i operating systems, extending its ability to serve clients in the Western U.S. while simultaneously strengthening its ability to offer extended services like disaster recovery and business continuity in the cloud.
