Austria's Federal Computing Centre ditches Solaris

A huge Austrian IT services provider has ditched its Oracle Solaris-based infrastructure in favour of 22 AIX-flavoured Power Systems. Bundesrechenzentrum GmbH, better known as BRZ or, in English, the Federal Computing Centre, provides IT services to government ministries and universities across Austria.
